It was a busy weekend at the warehouse, with more than 80 volunteers coming out to help prepare the Field of Crosses.
Together, we cleaned, sorted and bundled 2,570 crosses, leaving just 1,130 to go next weekend.
A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time and helped us get one step closer to November.

Thank you to the marvelous volunteers who came out recently to help us unload crosses and set up our "Cross Prep" warehouse for the season.
Kudos and huge thanks also to Parts Canada for their generosity in allowing Field of Crosses the use of their warehouse space.
We appreciate and value our volunteers and sponsors immensely - It is only because of their support that we are able to honour the fallen from Southern Alberta each year.

On Monday August 31, 2026, Field of Cross Founder Murray McCann accepted a donation in the amount of $2,500 from 1885 Regimental Society President, Sarah Conduct and Vice President, Cst Wes Burnside.
The 1885 Regimental Society of the Calgary Police Service raised funds through the sale of a special commemorative Remembrance Day challenge coin.
The Calgary Police Service has been a dedicated partner of the Field of Crosses since its inception in 2009 and remains steadfast in its support today. We are grateful for their friendship and generosity.
